Suppliers & Commercial Email
Existing Suppliers
Existing suppliers, or businesses we have identified as potential suppliers, may be provided with an email address for direct communications with the relevant person within the firm. This should not be disclosed to third parties without our prior consent.
Unsolicited Commercial Faxes
Our fax number is "opted-out" with the Fax Preference Service. Unsolicited Commercial Faxes are accordingly prohibited, and appropriate action will be taken upon our receipt of any such.
Unsolicited Commercial Email
All unsolicited commercial email should be directed to marketing@highlandlaw.co.uk.
Such emails will only be acknowledged if we wish to receive further information or wish future mailings to be directed to a particular person within the firm.
Important Note:
- Any unsolicited commercial email directed to any other email account at the domain highlandlaw.co.uk will, by such submission, be held to be a request for advice or other services.
- A fee for this will be charged in accordance with our current standard Terms of Business, but subject to a minimum fee of £40+VAT. Payment to account is due at our Wick office within 7 days of our receipt of your email.
- In addition to our fee for the time spent in considering and responding to your email, we shall be entitled to a fee and any outlays required to confirm your identity whether or not we subsequently accept you as a client.
- Such emails do not benefit from the protection of the Distance Selling Regulations, and accordingly you will not have a "cooling off" period to revoke this request.
Note
We do not currently require any offers of:
- Telephone or other telecommunication services;
- Listings in any directory, whether book, cd or internet based.
We are currently satisfied with our present suppliers, and any emails for these will not be considered. Further our Office Manager has been instructed that the partners will not talk to alternative suppliers of these at this time.
