Highland Law Practice awarded Investor in People

We are pleased to announce that we have successfully completed the requirements for 'Investor in People'.

Our plaque for this was presented by John Thurso M.P. at our office on 4th October 2005.

We believe that trained, competent staff are essential to providing a quality service to our clients. Investors in People provides a framework to measure how well we are performing in training and motivating staff and operating as a team. We hope that this shows in our service to clients.

More information about Investors in People can be found at the IIP website.

New Staff

We have two new full time members of staff starting with us in September 2005.

Laura Foubister and Mary Young have joined us as Administrative Assistants. This involves a mixture of working in reception, and dealing with various administrative and support duties for our legal teams.

Caithness County Show

Highland Law Practice attended Caithness County Show at Wick on Saturday, 16th July 2005.

Our tent was a popular refuge during the rain showers, and we had a continuous stream of children callng for ballons and sweets. Meanwhile the adults were able to have a glass of wine or a dram, and chat with us. Our leaflets on various subjects were also popular.

This was the first time in as long as the County Show Committee members could recall that a local firm of Solicitors had operated a stand at the Show. Judging from how well it was generally received, we doubt that it will be the last.
